Powered by Android (Gingerbread) 2.3 and a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, the HTC Flyer comes with 32GB of internal storage that is expandable with a microSD card and 1GB of RAM. The tablet weighs less than 15 ounces and measures 4.7 inches wide, 7.7 inches tall, and a half-inch thick.

The HTC Flyer is somewhat unique from other tablets on the market today in its infusion of a stylus. HTC’s Scribe technology allows users to take notes, sign contracts, draw pictures, or even write on web pages, photos, and PDF files. Staying on the software side, HTC Flyer supports Flash 10.1 and HTML 5.

Thanks to numerous leaks spreading across the internet, the 7″ Flyer will have a 1024 x 600 resolution and 24-bit color depth and a multi-touch capacitive touch screen. This Tablet PC has a 5MP rear camera complete with a LED flash and is technologically capable of facial recognition. It also has a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels with auto focus and digital zoom. Skype comes pre-installed on the HTC Flyer. Your users will be happy to know that video chat is possible on this Tablet. PC for its 1.3MP front camera.

This device comes complete with a GPS antenna with maps included, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support, Bluetooth technology, ambient light sensor, G-Sensor and a digital compass. The Flyer tablet comes with an excellent battery life of 8-14 hours in standby mode and HD video playback of up to 4 hours.

Other features of the HTC Flyer are its HDMI port, micro USB 2.0, and HSPA connectivity that enables download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps and upload speeds of 5.76 Mbps. The HTC Flyer is compatible with 6 networks, including GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, WCDMA 2100 and WCDMA 900. Device network data support includes HSUPA, HSUPA 3.5G, WCDMA 3G, EDGE and GPRS.

The Flyer is scheduled to go on sale sometime in March in the United States for a starting price of around $750.00. The creators of Flyer have not yet announced a specific release date. Rumor has it that 10-inch models will also be released in 2011.
