Important steps to take before turning on the air conditioner this summer

While the winter season is almost over, it’s time to rummage through your wardrobe for warmer clothes for the spring and summer seasons.

Sooner rather than later, people will want to turn on their air conditioners. Since your AC was off for so long, you might want to test it and see if it’s working properly before you hit “on.” It has to be fully operational by the time summer knocks on your door.

Check the interior equipment

You need to start with your indoor kit. Make sure the regulator cycles on and off and the temperature settings are on high for this step.

Take a look at the regulator. Does it look dated or worn? You should reserve cash by opting for a newer indoor regulator that is also programmable. Be sure to look for any vents that are uncovered due to exhaustion. This could be a Pandora’s box of cooling failure or home failure. Check any air vents throughout the house.
