The first visit is at the Outspan Hotel, where you can see the beauty of the Aberdare Range, formerly known as the Sattima Range. Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa, remains on the eastern side of this range. Falls are plentiful and the pride of Aberdare.

Next on the list is an overnight stay at Serena Mountain Lodge. It is situated on the sloping side of Mount Kenya and proudly features the ‘Tree Hotel’, originally made of a two-bedroom treetop house but now converted to 50 rooms or more. Currently, it is a large hotel structure built for security.

The panoramic view of the mountain range and the impressive thick tropical forest that extends to the paramos creates a radiant spell that is difficult to forget.
