Where else in the world offers more to do, more things to experience than the pure magical place that is Florida?

With its enviable climate boasting over 300 days of sunshine a year, Florida isn’t known as the “Sunshine State” for nothing! Add to this the myriad of theme parks, water parks, movie studios, golf courses, and shopping malls, and it’s no wonder this part of the US has become one of the world’s most popular vacation and vacation destinations. popular in the world.

Without a doubt, the best way to see this legendary state is to base yourself in one of the many vacation homes, villas, or vacation rental properties that can be found throughout the state.

One of the main reasons behind the popularity of Florida is of course due to the fact that in the late 1950s, Walt Disney decided to build the now iconic Disney World entertainment theme park complex in and around Orlando. .

This has given Orlando the well-earned label of “entertainment capital” of the world and, as anyone who has been there will tell you, there is simply no other place like it for the sheer scale and variety of entertainment and things to do for the people of all ages, sizes and backgrounds, for children, teenagers, young couples and of course families.

Despite the many attractions that can be found in Orlando, there are many other places and resorts waiting to be discovered throughout this state. Regardless of where you choose to visit and stay, my advice is to consider renting one of the many vacation homes and villas that are available to rent directly from owners. From seaside communities in St. Petersburg or Sarasota, to resorts like Hampton Lakes, Bradenton, or Tuscan Ridge in the pleasant suburbs of Orlando, you’ll be amazed at the quality and options on offer.

Renting a vacation home or vacation villa allows you much more freedom to plan and organize your vacation to meet the needs and desires of your family. Renting a vacation rental or other form of self-catering accommodation allows you to come and go as you please, eat and drink what you want when you want; in essence, it is a true “home away from home” experience. There are vacation rental villas with their own private pools located in beautifully manicured, gated communities, as well as vacation homes and vacation rental properties that sit on magnificent championship-quality golf courses. Did I mention there are more golf courses in Florida than there are days in the year?

But Florida is not just Disney World and its many theme parks, water parks, movie studios, theme and design hotels, far from it. Florida covers a land mass of more than 58,000 square miles and offers an incredible variety of attractions to explore and enjoy.

Drive west on one of the many interstate highways and you’ll reach the Gulf Coast resorts of St. Petersburg, Tampa and Clearwater. These communities are filled with the most beautifully decorated and spacious vacation homes, vacation villas, and all kinds of vacation rentals that you can rent for as many weeks of the year as you like.

Continue a little further south and you’ll come across Naples, with its pristine beaches and warm seas, and Everglades National Park, where you’ll find the natural habitat of Florida’s oldest residents: the manatee, alligator and crocodile.

At the bottom of the state, just 50 miles off the coast of Cuba, are the legendary Florida Keys. Adoptive home of author Ernest Hemmingway, the Keys are more reminiscent of the Caribbean in style, culture, and feel, as the atmosphere is very relaxing and laid-back.

Contrast this with the largest city in the state, Miami, where Spanish is spoken almost as much as English. Miami is steeped in art deco tradition and heavily influenced by Spanish and Latin American cultures. As a party city and a place to relax and experience “la vida loca”, Miami is a city like no other.

If you ever get tired of the central belt of Florida, which is Orlando, take a day to visit the Atlantic coast on the eastern side of the state. Head to the Atlantic coast and enjoy the fun of surfing huge rippling Atlantic breakers while you can spend time marveling at the wonders of the Space Center at Cape Canaveral. For a taste of the real, down-to-earth American coastline, head to Coco Beach, where you can sip Budweiser and eat delicious key lime pie on the pier jutting out into the stormy waves of the Atlantic.

Truly, Florida is an amazing “must go” place. But avoid staying in hotels and motels if you can. Renting a spacious new vacation home or villa or vacation rental property, or really any other form of self-catering accommodation, will give you and your family the freedom to come and go as you please, allowing you to make the most of it. of what the “Sunshine State” has to offer.
