4 tips on how not to write your blog posts

We can read many articles on how to write good blog posts to make the reader stick around. Here are my four tips on how not to write your post when you start your own blog. These tips can be useful for beginning bloggers. So here it is:

Never break the rules of consistency!

There is nothing worse than posting infrequently. I mean you need to update your blog with fresh content often to keep your readers and of course the search engines happy. How often should you write posts? It’s up to you. The more you post the better it is. However, the minimum is between 2-3 posts per week.

Never write for search engines!

Posting unique and fresh content on your blog is not always easy! When you use your keywords in your articles, keep in mind that you are creating a blog for real people. Therefore, your main goal should be to not rank high in search engines. If you focus on the people who will listen to you in the future, your blog will rise to prominence in no time.

Never submit or publish articles without proofreading!

I remember when I was submitting my first article. Of course, I didn’t check it for errors. Big mistake! There is no such thing as a misspelling or bad grammar! Sometimes you just get confused when typing. Always read your article or post before submitting it and make sure there are no spelling or grammatical errors. You can use proofreaders or spell checkers to get the job done.

Never break the 250 word rule

People are in a hurry these days and don’t stay long in one place. Except there is something that catches your eye. You can do this by writing posts of no more than 250 words. Try to draw as much attention to yourself as possible. If you have a topic to write about, start writing about it and you can finish the topic later. You can break the entire article into smaller parts to keep your reader coming back to your blog.
