How did the quality of life for children and staff in a cancer ward dramatically improve?

The answer: They were all introduced to energy techniques like Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).

I’m Deborah Miller, an EFT practitioner with a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology. Since September 2007 I have had the honor of having the opportunity to apply EFT and energy techniques in a childhood cancer ward at a hospital in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. The results are broad and powerful. It touches not only the child, but everyone who participates in the cancer room.

My work complements that of hospital treatments. It does not interfere with or replace, but rather incorporates, augments, and enhances existing treatments by providing powerful and necessary tools that alleviate emotional trauma such as fear, loneliness, and unwillingness to cooperate with the doctor and / or nurses.

Simple and brief techniques offer a way to improve the overall atmosphere of the cancer ward from one of misery to one of peace and hope.

Taking advantage of this opportunity has changed my life as what has happened has gone far beyond what I could have imagined would happen. As of July 2009, I have worked with 165 children and more than 500 family members, in addition to many members of the hospital staff, including the chief oncologist. I see profound changes in children, parents, and staff as I facilitate energy techniques with all of them.

It’s time for me to share what has happened and I hope it inspires you to take advantage of the opportunities that come your way because you never know where they will lead. Sure, I never imagined that I would work with children with cancer or embark on a journey of teaching energy techniques in hospitals. As you take advantage of the gifts and opportunities you receive and use your gifts to the fullest, blessings will surely come from them.

When I started working with children in the hospital doing energy techniques like EFT, I was curious to know what would happen despite the limiting work conditions and circumstances. Over time, with a little encouragement and perseverance, I began to see the true magnitude of what was happening. I realized that real improvements were made.

These children not only felt better emotionally when they released the fear of their illness, the color “white”, the needles, the hospital environment, their treatments and surgeries, but also physically as the fever, pain and nausea decreased. and your immune system. systems recovered faster. A sense of hope for improvement as feelings of joy and laughter welled up. On top of everything, they were developing a sense of self worth and self worth. These children were empowering themselves.

Beyond discovering these very important but often overlooked changes, I was pleased to see that many of the children who tapped with me were learning life skills that are rarely taught. They were given a sense of dignity that allowed them to embrace their illness rather than hate it. They could own it and claim their right to heal, allowing your body to begin the healing process.

I watched child after child tap on their own, or tap on TappyBear (a lovely teddy bear with the tapping points) and remind their parents to tap with them. They began to choose to feel better, in the worst of circumstances, and allow themselves to be happy by focusing on all the good at that time in their lives. In return, I received my most precious trophy, their smiles and joy.

The quality of life for these children has dramatically improved, and consequently that of their parents, the hospital staff, the doctor, and myself.

It is a great honor to work with these children as they are amazing souls. Teaching and working with energetic techniques with these children has been the most incredible experience of my life. I have grown personally, it has changed my perceptions and paradigms, and also as a Meridian Tapping and EFT practitioner using many energy techniques.
