The Reebok model 9500 ES treadmill is so packed with features that I wonder if it should be described as a treadmill. Combining exercise with fun, it’s more of a one-stop exercise and mini entertainment comes right there in your own home. An expensive device or a cheaper alternative to a fitness membership? I guess that depends on how much you pay at your gym and how often you use it.

Another thing that catches your eye when looking for advice on the Reebok model 9500 ES treadmill and other Reebok treadmills, made by ICON Health and Fitness, is the manufacturer’s description. There’s a trademark attached to many of the features, and without sounding negative about the product itself, do we really care if the fan or tilt control has some sort of made-up name for the purpose of adding a TM later? Does it make the treadmill more attractive to buyers? I doubt it! However, for the purpose of this review, I’ve included all the ® and (TM) logos where they belong, and you can see for yourself how ridiculous it starts to look.

Main specifications:

  • Engine: 3.5 CHP Commercial Grade
  • Incline: 0-12% Power Incline(TM)
  • Speed: 0-12 mph One Touch(TM) Speed Control
  • Running area: 60″ x 20″
  • Heart Rate: EKG(TM) Heart Rate Monitor
  • Collapsible feature: SpaceSaver® collapsible design
  • Shock Absorption: DMX(TM) Adjustable Shock
  • Maximum user weight: 350 pounds
  • Warranty: Engine – 20 years

exercise:

The Reebok Model 9500 ES treadmill has a variety of 35 built-in programs, including four preset options, two event training programs, two for heart rate control, and six calibrated weight loss programs. If that’s not enough, the 9500 ES also supports interactive iFit® technology, which is like having a virtual personal trainer! The belt on this model is a very good size for a home treadmill, at 60″ long and 20″ wide, providing a decent running surface and a more comfortable workout for those with longer legs. With speeds of up to 12 mph thanks to the 3.5 CHP commercial grade motor, the Reebok 9500 ES can compete with some of the treadmills you see at the gym. Another attractive feature is the One Touch(TM) speed control, which makes it quick and easy to adjust the speed to the required level.

Console:

A multi-color LED display on the console displays common readings for speed, time, distance and heart rate, and the Reebok Model 9500 ES treadmill’s built-in AutoBreeze(TM) fan will help keep you cool during your workout. The pièce de résistance on this treadmill has to be the entertainment center. With a 7″ interactive flat screen, built-in speakers, subwoofer and MP3 system, the Reebok Model 9500 ES Treadmill is sure to make your regular workout an enjoyable experience.

Design and Guarantee:

The folding feature of the Reebok Model 9500 ES treadmill offers a convenient solution for home exercise users. The SpaceSaver® folding design with Easy Lift Assist Shock makes it easy to store the unit away when you need space.

The standard warranty on this model is one year for parts and labor and 20 years for the motor. This, to me, is where it falls short compared to some of the other folding treadmills; For example, the Sole F80 includes a 30-year warranty for the platform and motor, and 5 years for its other parts.

Conclusion:

A high price for a gadget-filled novelty that might soon be gone. As impressive as it sounds, priced at around $2500, the Reebok Model 9500 ES Treadmill doesn’t sound like music to my ears.
