o Choose a scheduling device that works for you: a journal, calendar, PDA, or software package.

o Keep your daily to-do folder within easy reach.

o Limit the number of important and time-sensitive deadlines you commit to.

o Do not take on tasks that belong to someone else.

o Learn to say “No.”

o If you feel like all you’re doing is putting out fires, it’s time to make some changes.

o Set aside time for planning.
