Although I have not been a video game lover for years, and had not tried the new Nintendo Wii console, I did teach myself some of the finer concepts of playing “real” tennis, from playing David Cranes tennis on an old Nintendo. Console, many years ago. I discovered the details of the ball’s twist and curve on the “real” tennis court after playing a video game!

Although that’s really the only game I’ve ever played to some degree, I was excited when my daughter came to visit me and brought her new Nintendo Wii console with her.

Now I consider myself a 100% convert to Nintendo Wii! When I read my first limited review of the new Nintendo System Wii, I found myself questioning the motion-reactive controls (the remote and the nunchuck) and the wand you needed to place in front of or on top of the TV. Not only that, but the reports on the graphics of the Nintendo System Wii seemed abominable.

Could the Nintendo System Wii compete in the domain of a video game where, whenever you’re playing NBA 2007 on a PlayStation 2, you can see the beads of sweat on Shaq’s realistic facial expression?

The Nintendo System Wii comes with a tiny, quiet console and fits almost anywhere. Comparatively, the PlayStation 3 is huge and harder to hide. Sony has made some strange decisions when it comes to its flagship console, and it lacks the innovation of the Nintendo System Wii, in many respects, both aesthetically and functionally. Nintendo System Wii has it over Sony in almost every department.

Despite my reluctance regarding the Nintendo console’s Wii wand / remote, there is no discomfort or bewilderment regarding them. The remote and nunchuck controls make sense, and the Nintendo System Wii provides a full on-screen address in case you ever get confused. The PlayStation 3, on the other hand, does not provide an equal controller or progressive simplicity of use.

Nintendo System Wii should be commended for putting out a $ 300 game console that doesn’t forget a whole generation of users behind. The Nintendo Wii console arrives configured to play all GameCube games and includes hidden ports for GameCube controls. Although Sony did not make the backward compatibility mistake, this is one of the problems with Xbox, many of the newer games do not play properly on Xbox 360.

The Nintendo System Wii is sinking into our culture in many ways, besides the ease of use of the Nintendo System Wii, there are many other great facets to it. The fact that there is the possibility of burning calories and sweating is a revolution in itself. Companies are now designing public rooms that you can rent for parties that are set up for the best Nintendo System Wii experience. I have also seen reports of fitness centers installing Nintendo System Wii consoles for their customers to use as a warm-up before training.

All in all, the Nintendo System Wii is destined to revolutionize society like no game console has ever done before.
