A cage net is available in two types of materials: nylon and polyethylene fibers. While both materials are known for their strength and for offering excellent abrasion resistance, these two differ primarily in terms of the type of location where they are best used.

Nylon netting is perfect if you plan to install an indoor cage. While this type of netting is known for its durability and for resisting abrasion from balls, a downside to using nylon is that it tends to mold and rot easily, especially if used outdoors and/or exposed to moisture. Poly netting, on the other hand, is best if you’re setting up an outdoor batting cage. This is because polyethylene netting is typically made from high-density, non-corrosive materials, allowing it to resist damage from extreme weather conditions and constant exposure to harmful outside elements. Choosing a nylon or polyethylene net depends on your needs and budget. However, it is important to pay special attention to the durability and strength of the nets.

It is also recommended to choose the color of the batting cage nets wisely. Although they are available in different colors, including bright and dazzling colors, it is best to choose colors that resist the sun’s UV rays, especially if you are setting up an outdoor cage. In this way, the players will not be distracted during the batting game and practice.
