Forza Motorsport 2 is a racing game developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The game is available exclusively for Xbox 360. It is the sequel to Forza Motorsport that marks the expansion of the Forza Motorsport racing game franchise. It was released on May 24, 2007 in Japan; May 29, 2007 in North America; June 8, 2007 in Europe and June 14, 2007 in Australia. It is available in single player mode as well as multiplayer. Forza Motorsport 2 features over 300 cars divided into six production classes and four racing classes. The graphics and aerodynamics of the cars can be visually customized. The game runs at a speed of 60 frames per second and plays at 30 frames per second. No point-to-point racing is featured in this version of the series. The game focuses on circuit racing only. The physics is renewed from Forza Motorsport. There are multiple possible configurations in the game now. “Simulation” is the most severe, putting the car out of commission, “limited” limits relentless crashes and damage, and “cosmetic” means no visible damage.

Forza Motorsport 2 features 14 playable tracks, of which 10 are real world tracks and the remaining four are fictional tracks. The game’s scoring system is similar to that of Halo 2. Cars can be auctioned off online, and purchased cars come with all old and new stats. Players must log in to the official website to check the scores. The game allows players to take in-game photos and upload them to the forza website. Players can also schedule in-game tournaments. Microsoft has developed the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel that works in conjunction with the game.

Lots of free downloadable content for Forza Motorsport 2 is available. Players can download cars and tracks for free along with payment. A limited collector’s edition was also released. The Limited Collector’s Edition contains a 157-page booklet that provides details on the cars and how to earn in-game achievements.
