Exploring Miami: America’s Best Vacation Destination!

Miami as a vacation destination was high on our list of favorite destinations and my wife and children were eager to explore the place on our next vacation. So we had our travel agent book our cheap flights to Miami and create an extensive Miami itinerary. Our helpful travel agent told us that Miami is a great place to go hang gliding and that the cost of our trip would largely depend on how far in advance we book our flights and hotels and the type of airline we choose. He booked our economy flights to Miami on an American Airlines flight and we got to Miami from London in just nine hours.

We got our flights and hotels really cheap as we had booked our 4D/5N tour package well in advance which included return flights, accommodation, meals and a city tour. We stayed one day and that gave us fresh energy to explore the city of Miami and the next day we were ready to go.

The first leg of our Miami tour took us to places like Bayside Marketplace, Miccosukee Indian Village, Deering Estate, and the Miami Seaquarium, which gave us insight into the wealth of flora and fauna that Miami has to offer. Another interesting place we saw was the Parrot Island where we could see a large number of parrots in a wide variety of colors and shades. Our travel agent had also scheduled our trip to Monkey Island, where we were able to see a wide variety of monkeys in their natural habitat.

After an exhausting day of sightseeing we decided to have dinner at a fine dining restaurant and the next day we started our second leg of our trip where we got to see beaches like Sunny Isles, Bal Harbour, Haulover, Surfside and South Beach which offered us a lot of opportunities for a bit of adventure and entertainment. We were not only able to swim, snorkel, dive and surf in the blue waters of the sea during the day, but also enjoy some parties and revelry after the sun went down.

Touring Miami was definitely a memorable experience and we didn’t feel like leaving the place, but the highlight of our tour was the hang gliding experience we had at one of Miami’s hang gliding clubs. The adrenaline rush that one gets from this activity is simply unmatched and we would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in this adventure sport to visit Miami at least once.
