Dollhouse furniture adds beauty, personality, and a “home” feel to your dollhouse. When you start shopping for dollhouse furniture, consider some of the rooms that you can add to your dollhouse and some of the more basic furniture that can go in them. Keep in mind that these only scratch the surface – there is as much dollhouse furniture as there are real furniture!

Living room and family rooms
Every dollhouse needs a living room! Basic living room furniture includes sofas, loveseats, armchairs (with or without ottomans), and coffee tables. Other furnishings in your living room include fireplaces, grandfather clocks, rocking chairs, tables with lamps, and modern furniture like entertainment centers and televisions.

Dining room
The most essential dining room furniture includes a table, chairs or benches, and some type of hutch. Other dining room items include porcelain cabinets and curio cabinets, sinks, cupboards, bookcases, corner cabinets, and tea carts. Dining room sets often have matching living room sets to go along with them. If there is not enough space in your dollhouse for a dining room, you may want to add a simple table with two chairs to your kitchen.

Kitchens
Kitchens are another must-have room in your dollhouse. The variety of furniture to add to your dollhouse is huge, but the most basic items include a sink, stove, refrigerator or refrigerator and some kind of cabinets (placed on the floor or hung on the wall). Kitchens can also have additional countertops and cabinets, cabinets, islands, tables and chairs, and cabins. Other appliances include microwaves and dishwashers, or old-fashioned metal stoves and sinks.

Bathrooms
The most essential furniture for a bathroom is pretty obvious: every bathroom needs a toilet, a sink, and usually a bathtub or shower. Other items include mirrors, medicine cabinets, baskets, towel racks, and bathroom cabinets.

Bedrooms
Bedrooms obviously need a bed, although there are many types (singles or doubles, four-poster, day beds, etc.). Other basics include wardrobes, dressers, or wardrobes; nightstands; and chests. Other options include standing mirrors, coat racks, desks, sofas, and even shoe racks.

Children’s rooms and nurseries
Along with the types of beds mentioned above, bunk beds are quite a popular children’s room item. Other items differ from standard bedroom items simply by decoration. Some unique furnishings include toy trunks and toys like rocking horses and, believe it or not, dollhouses. Nurseries often have cribs, bassinets and / or cribs, changing tables, high chairs, baby walkers, and potties.

Game rooms and recreation rooms
These rooms can be used to place fun furniture that you would love to have but can’t put in other rooms! For example, musical items like pianos, harps, and stereos would be great in a recreation room. For a different look, you can add a dart board and a pool table. Televisions and other entertainment items can also go in these rooms.

Libraries and Offices
The basic furnishings for these rooms include a desk and chair, a filing cabinet, and bookshelves. Other items include globes with stands, chess tables, and display cabinets.

Other rooms
If you have the space, you may want to consider a laundry room – you can add a washer and dryer, a sink, an ironing board, and cleaning supplies like a vacuum cleaner. Another popular room is a sewing room: sewing machines, caster wheels, and quilting tables can be added. Other rooms just depend on your interest and imagination – art rooms, pet animal rooms, and greenhouse or potting rooms are all examples.
