Now you might think that the makaveli clothing line was founded by Tupac himself. No, the brand was founded by Afeni Shakur. It was for the purpose of keeping his son’s legacy alive through fashion.

Tupac Amaru Shakur was known as a famous movie actor, a prominent movie actor, and more commonly known as the most popular American rapper of the 20th century, Tupac Amaru Shakur or simply known by his stage names like 2pac and makaveli.

Although Tupac was famous, he also gained notoriety for his conflicts with the law. At the time Tupac was still incarcerated, Tupac read and studied Niccolò Machiavelli and other published works, which inspired his pseudonym “makaveli.”

Shakur began serving his prison sentence at the Clinton Correctional Center on February 14, 1995. Shortly after, he released his multi-platinum album “Me Against the World.” Shakur is the only artist to have an album at number one on the Billboard 200 while serving a prison sentence.
