Over the years, I’ve noticed that people are often stumped by the way they find me or are directed to my reading room: one person was ‘pulled’ into this area, but couldn’t understand or explain why, another had no intention of doing so. visit me as I was leaving the house that morning and arrived without conscious intention, another had taken the wrong way and saw my sign and was ‘pulled’ in. When I point out that it is no accident that they are here, they usually laugh sadly as they recognize the truth in that statement. ‘You’re supposed to be here,’ I tell them softly. There is something important that the Universe needs you to know. And invariably, when reading your design, there is, in fact, an important message or guide offered at just the right time. So, these people had set out to do certain things (Free Will) but found themselves in my place without really intending to come here (Fate).

It is, for me, a recognized fact that Fate and Free Will are not two separate entities: they are brothers; They hold hands and walk together. Sometimes destiny will help you get where you need to be, and sometimes free will will give you space to do what you need to do. As much as fate and free will appear to be contradictory in nature, they often work together or balance each other out. Let’s face it, too much trust in fate suggests an overly passive energy, while too much focus on free will suggests a “my way or the highway” kind of energy.

Most of you know that we are all on different ‘life paths’ as I call them. Each of us has a series of smaller lessons and some amazing things to learn along the way of our lives and most of us try, at one time or another, to outsmart the Big Guy by taking a shortcut, with the hope that it will help us move forward on the path. . This never works. Period. You’ll know you’re out of the way when you feel like you’re up to your neck in quicksand and any movement just sucks you in deeper. Relax, because unless you’ve done something evil, Big Guy will send an emissary to rescue you. Again. And back on your way you’re plunked.

From my point of view, this life, or ‘reality’, is a classroom, albeit a big classroom, and we’re all here to learn our lessons, go to school, fail sometimes (and that’s okay, you’ll just have to retake the class…most people fail ‘Breaking Cycles in Relationships 101’ and need to repeat the class multiple times. And what do you think is the ultimate goal of this school? the biggest lesson we are here to learn, do you think?

Expanding on the idea of a life path seems to imply fate or predestination in an important way. We all have a set of ‘blueprints’, or plans if you will, that we know about before we got here, but are absorbed into our being and remembered in our cells while our brains forget them. The connecting tool that links us to this inner knowledge is known as intuition and it is our 6th sense, the one that guides us on our way. (Intuition is based on trusting that there is a higher power; something we may not be able to see or touch… like air: we cannot see or touch it, but it keeps us alive! Ergo, if an individual is committed to free will and does not trust in the existence of a higher power, then it will be very difficult for that person to listen and pay attention to the God-given voice of their intuition).

Every time we go against our intuition or inner voice, we are no longer following our path. Intuition is first and foremost a warning system against wrong moves or decisions. So the blueprints and the path of life seem to support the concept and presence of Fate, or an unalterable chain or course of events. If anyone has read about Chaldean numerology (see my article on it, this site), then you will understand the connection when I say that the number 9 is a sacred number that leads us home, it is spiritual and compassionate… and that Destiny, like the energy of the name of Jesus Christ, adds up to a 9. Destiny is another way of saying that a higher power is at work. It has the same energy.

Free will, on the other hand, is individual and personal and has everything to do with control. Free will belongs to each one of us and its origin is in our brain. In the brain, which is governed by logic, one would expect to reside a series of choices that are based on information and knowledge and are motivated by the desire and drive for success, achievement and gain. Free will is very much ingrained in the ‘reality’ of this earth plane and is governed by the ego or sense of self. Free will says ‘I am in control of my life. I’m going to make my life what I want it to be. I am free and I choose not to believe in anything other than what I can see and touch and what I believe.’ Usually there is not much wiggle room in a brain that is set on free will. However, there is a very high possibility that strong believers in free will will, at some point, experience an epiphany or experience that opens or exposes them to the existence of Fate or predestiny. What they choose to believe then can change their lives, but in the meantime, there is no such thing as Fate and they are the masters of their domain. (Free will totals a 6 in Chaldean numerology: this energy has to do with feeling safe and nurtured in a safe place where love is shared, but this place also excludes unwanted intrusion.)

I would suggest that the best and most productive way to approach destiny and free will is to understand that both are present in our lives. Sometimes we need to free ourselves from the need to maintain control over our lives (and this usually manifests itself in the chaos of our situations) and recognize that ultimately we do not have ultimate and ultimate control over the content and direction of our lives. existence. I realize some people will find that concept difficult, if not impossible, to swallow and that’s okay too. Simply being exposed to an idea often plants a seed, and seeds have a way of sprouting, even from solid rock. Being self-confident enough to accept the possible existence of something greater than ourselves is an act of free will in itself. (“I choose to accept this possibility.”) While we may choose to understand the reality of an unseen element in our supposed “reality” and thus give Fate a nod, we are still free to make our own decisions, but once seen, the concept of Fate cannot be ‘invisible’. The seed is planted.

Fate and free will are intertwined. I often tell my clients, who come to me to find out what fate has in store for them, that “nothing is set in stone… we all have free will.” So, you see, I really believe that the two F’s are connected and that they exist together. What The Big Guy has in mind for you, you can alter with your actions. In fact, you can change anything in your life: quit your job, divorce your wife, marry your boyfriend, move to Alabama, buy an RV, and go see the world…but this is just a “trip.” secondary” if it is not encoded in your Destination. If you are destined to be a lonely traveler in this life, you will soon be divorced. If he’s destined to live in New Orleans, he won’t be in Alabama for long…a fantastic job opportunity will present itself shortly after he gets there and it will be in New Orleans. If he buys an RV and sets out to see the world, but he’s not supposed to leave Alaska, he’ll run into all kinds of obstacles that will keep him from leaving. Does he sound crazy? It is not. It is the reality in the life path of Destiny and Free Will. No one knows what fate has in store for them and we can only access a rough outline of our destiny on the path of life by choosing (Free Will), for example, to have a birth chart calculated, or perhaps a numerology report made Chaldean. So you can see how the two F’s coexist, right?

Earlier I was wondering if anyone knew what this school is trying to teach us through all the trials and tribulations that occur along our life path. The ultimate goal, the greatest lesson is very simple and yet it is the most difficult to learn, because it must start within ourselves; only then can we share it with others. And yes, it is unconditional love.
