God has given us principles to follow to reach our place of wealth. He has made those principles known through His Word. In order for us to build wealth according to God’s plan, there has to be a proper foundation. A proper foundation for a tall building needs proper excavation to ensure sustainability. The Lord has given us some commandments in His Word for us to obey. One of those commandments is tithing according to Malachi.

Bring all the tithes to the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and prove me now with this, says Jehovah of armies, if I do not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing on you, so that there will not be enough space to receive it ” (Mal. 3:10) And verse 9 of Malachi speaks of curses that will come upon anyone who does not obey this command.

But there is a question and here it is: “Why do some believers who tithe remain penniless?” They have not yet entered their rich place. This deserves an honest answer. This means that tithing does not bring the answer. But it is still very important. There are some adjustments to be made so that we can enter our place of wealth. Once those adjustments have been made, you will enter the land of the rich.

“The Lord will bless you in your barns and in whatever you put your hand to; and he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Deuteronomy 28: 8).

The Lord will send the blessing. This must be serious with God. A warehouse refers to your bank account or your investments. The Lord sends a blessing and it doesn’t stop there. Also, order a blessing on everything that PUTS your hand. That can be your business or your job. Do something that is of value to people. Do what people benefit and they will buy from you.

Understand child of God that there is an enemy, the devil. As you move towards your rich place, the enemy will not turn around and play dead. He will do his best to stop you without giving up. The reason is that he knows what that means to him. Now let’s see how to place the suitable one found for your wealth:

1) Use proven weapons: God’s Word to fight your battles

When Goliath was mocking the Israelites, David came. He knew the covenant he had with God and that Goliath did not. He decided to confront him. King Saul tried to give him his armor, but David hadn’t tried it on, so he didn’t use it.

“And Saul clothed David in his armor, and put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail.

And David girded his sword upon his armor, and tried to go; because I hadn’t tried it. And David said to Saul: I cannot go with these; because I have not tried them. And David took them off.

And taking his staff in his hand, he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag that he had, that is, in a saddlebag; and his sling in his hand, and he approached the Philistine “(1 Samuel 17: 38-40).

There is a battle in the financial world. So you need proven weapons, as now there is no time for untested ones. God’s Word has been shown to work from time to time. Jesus tested it when he was tempted by the devil. But the question is, “have you tried it yourself?” David had tested his weapon. That is why he spoke of killing a lion and a bear. Now is the time to put God’s Word to the test. Try it for yourself in your own life. Is the Word of God real to you? Is it stored within you? Son of God, it is time. Get up and start believing the Word. Use it. Test it.

2) Don’t be haughty

What’s that? It’s a job for the rich. This will help you lay the proper foundation on your way to your place of wealth. Don’t think of yourself more than you should.

Command the rich of this world not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us all things in abundance for us to enjoy; that they do good, that they enrich themselves in good. works, willing to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up for themselves A GOOD FOUNDATION for the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life “(1 Timothy 6: 17-19).

The Lord has abundantly given all things for us to enjoy. DO YOU REMEMBER to enjoy every MOMENT of your life? Be willing to distribute, support towards good works. Remember to support the Kingdom of God. By doing so, you are laying a good foundation for yourself.

If you follow God, He will make you rich. Never make earthly wealth your number one priority. How can you tell if money is the number one priority in your life? If you find it difficult to part with money and support God’s work, you have made a god out of money. God is ready to give you the kind of home you want, the kind of car you want, and the kind of clothing you want. But you need to show Him that you will not be carried away by pride, arrogance, and conceit.

“All the commandments that I command you today, you will fulfill, so that you live and multiply, and enter and possess the land that the Lord swore to your parents.

And you will remember all the way that Jehovah your God led you these forty years in the desert, TO HUMBLE YOURSELF, and to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commandments.

And he humbled you, and left you hungry, and fed you with manna, which you did not know nor did your parents know; to make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord man lives “(Deuteronomy 8: 1-3).

Note that the word “Humble” is the opposite of haughty. Don’t wait for God to humiliate you. Be humble. God wants to take you to your place of wealth. The apostle Peter also speaks on this subject of being humble before God.

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” (1 Peter 5: 6).

3) Don’t put your trust in uncertain riches

Why is the riches of this world referred to as “uncertain riches”? It is because they are temporary. They can be lost at any time. Finance is an earthly institution. No one can go to heaven with him. When you die, you go naked. It doesn’t matter how much wealth you have accumulated. That is why we are encouraged to trust the living God.

“Charge the rich of this world not to be haughty, not to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who abundantly gives us all things to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17). After Paul admonished the rich about avoiding being haughty, he warned us about relying on uncertain riches.

The Old Testament has something to say about trusting the uncertain rich.

Will you set your eyes on what is not? For the rich certainly make wings; they fly like an eagle to the sky. (Proverbs 23: 5). Our eyes must be on God. Then we will receive an anointing to prosper. That will attract money because money has a tendency to develop wings to fly.

I can conclude that knowing that there is a rich place for you is the first step. As we have highlighted, the necessary foundations must be laid. These foundations will allow you to enjoy your heritage in a sustainable way. Follow the principles of success that God has established. That will help you protect yourself from the enemy who is always looking for a way to hinder and destroy you.

Blessings in Jesus’ Name!
